Legacy

As I was pulling into the driveway I spotted company...a lone deer.  I quickly took some pictures of it to post on WhatsApp and share with my family.  Along with the photos, I posted the old wives' tale I grew up with and heard each and every time I dropped a fork..."Didn't even drop a utensil and came home and found a visitor."  

My mother never failed to announce that company was coming when we dropped a utensil in the house but she was never sure if it was a fork for a man or a woman.  

The things that remind us of our youth, the things that bring our dear departed ones close, the things that offer them a legacy.
