TIME FOR A HAIRCUT
Right after my husband snapped a picture of the back of my head, I texted the shot to my friend Marie. Before Arnee took the picture, I pulled my curled hair to my waist.
I’ve known Marie since 6th grade, so I added, “You’re probably the only one who remembers, I always wanted it to my waist but it never grew this long!”
Marie’s reply was, “So, you had to wait till you’re almost 70 to get waist length hair. :-) I think shoulder length would look good.” I agree with shoulder length, but I’m only almost 68; let’s not push it.
After sending a reminder to my loyal list of fans to check my Tuesday blog post and tell them that Arnee and I are celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary today, I’ll hop in the car, and we’ll drive to NYC to see my hairdresser of about 35 years.
Following a 15 month hiatus, Alan will cut as we, both fully vaxxed, catch up on the happenings during life in a pandemic. As he gives me tips on all kinds of subjects, I’ll give him a hefty monetary tip to catch up on those he missed during this crazy time.
Stay tuned for the after pictures. I’ll add them to the post when we get back home after more celebrating. Then, in July, after my 50th high school reunion, I can send photographs of Marie and me at 68 with neatly trimmed hair.
